Answer: The length is 46cm, the width is 20cm, and there is a 10cm gusset that creates depth. They are large size bags, big enough for a full loaf. -

Could these be used for alcohol gifts, e.g. glass, miniature, etc., instead of the other cellophane bags?
Answer: I've only ever used these bags for bread and loaves, either for the freezer or to keep bread fresher for longer once it's been opened. But I don't see why they couldn't be used for other things, particularly to replace cellophane bags. -

Are they safe for freezing?
Answer: Yes, they are safe for freezing. Just make sure to remove all the air in the bag before tying it off and freezing to prevent frosting.
