The Round Bread Proofing Basket is a great tool for professional home bakers. Made from natural rattan, this 10 inch banneton is sturdy and well put together. It comes with a cloth liner, dough scraper, bread lame, and a starter recipe set. The basket is perfect for dough made from 500gm of flour at 80% hydration, which translates to about 900gm of dough. The product is made in China, which can be confirmed by checking the "sold by" and/or "despatched by" information in the product details. The bread lame included in the set is extremely sharp, so caution must be taken when using it. Some users reported receiving a rusty lame after the first use. The included cloth liner can be used to cover the dough while proving, but some users found it difficult to remove the dough from the liner if it was too wet. Alternatively, users can dust the basket with flour and semolina to prevent sticking. Over time, the grooves in the basket will fill with flour and a wire brush may be needed to clean it.
