Can you use this for setting genesis paints on reborn babies?
Answer: We're not familiar with these products, but the heat tool is recommended for curing embossing powders, quick drying paints, glues, and inks. It may not be suitable for use on all materials. -
Question:
Anyone use this for melting polymorph / instamorph plastic?
Answer: Yes, but it can quickly burn the plastic. It is best used for keeping the surface of a shape warm while adjusting it after melting the polymorph in hot water or for removing unwanted polymorph. -
Question:
Do you have an item with a European plug?
Answer: Unfortunately, the heat tools we supply come with a UK 3-pin plug. You may need to use an adapter. -
Question:
Has anyone used this for shrinking Shrinkiedinks plastic?
Answer: Yes, we use this heat tool to shrink our shrink plastic sheets. You can find a demonstration on YouTube by searching for 'How To: make a Shrink Plastic Ring' by the bead shop Nottingham. -
Question:
Why can't you just use a hairdryer on the hottest setting?
Answer: Hairdryers have a fan and may blow away embossing powder. The heat tool is designed for specific tasks and has the correct temperature. -

Can I use this for encaustic art?
Answer: We're not sure as encaustic art is not something we do. The heat tool is mainly used for shrink plastic, foam molding, and drying of paints/inks. You may need to try it yourself. -
Question:
One review said it has a US plug. What did the other purchasers do about that?
Answer: Mine came with the correct plug for UK use. If you have a US plug, you may need to replace it with a compatible 13amp plug. -

Does this work well for transferring pictures onto candles?
Answer: Yes, that's what I used it for and it worked out well. -

I need to replace the fuse. What amp should I use?
Answer: I would recommend using a 3amp or 5amp fuse. Using a higher amp rating can be dangerous. -

Would this be good for heat shrinking plastic/rubber?
Answer: It can be used for shrinking plastic, but we are not sure about rubber.
