Answer: It wasn't wide enough for my stairs but you can buy separate extending panels. Measure the gap to be sure as stair widths vary and it may fit yours. -

Would this attach well against a glass staircase side?
Answer: I am not sure about the glass staircase. I would not use it on it if it was me. I have mine at the bottom and top of stairs and it fit perfectly. Secure and safe for my two years old boy. He tried to lift it up but in vain. Now his next move is to use one of his buckets and try to climb over, but still no success. -

Answer: I don't think so. We have an oak and glass stair banister and have fitted it to the oak posts. It is an excellent product but because it is pressure fitted, I would be concerned about putting it between two glass panels. -

Answer: I suggest you can't unless you try the manufacturer - things like this don't really have spares readily available. -

Does this reach 82cm without buying an extension?
Answer: No, it will happily reach 76cm or if you fully extend the pressure fittings up to 78cm. It won’t reach 82cm by a long shot. I bought this specifically to fit in smaller doorways. There are other gates available that will reach much wider, one of mine does 106cm from another manufacturer. But this specific one will max out at less than 79cm.
