KT Games 018946010342 Editorial Review
** Dead or Alive Ultimate** Dead or Alive Ultimate strategically combines nostalgia with exciting gameplay, appealing to both hardcore fans of the series and newcomers alike. It features enhanced visuals that elevate the traditional fighting game experience, boasting beautifully designed characters and highly interactive multi-level environments. The excitement escalates as players engage in fast-paced matches that necessitate sharp reflexes and tactical acumen. The game’s mechanics focus on the uniqueness of each character's fighting style, allowing for thrilling counterattacks and strategic throws that add depth beyond mere button-mashing. Players appreciate the sheer amount of content available, with over 20 outfits per character to unlock, which adds a layer of engagement beyond just fighting. The challenge of the AI contributes to a satisfying single-player experience, especially with its diverse difficulty levels which keep the game interesting for players wanting to improve their skills. On the flip side, the lack of online functionality may disappoint those hoping for competitive multiplayer experiences. Additionally, some players express disappointment at the inclusion of male characters, implying a desire for a focus on the female fighters that the series is famous for. The DVD drive's noise during gameplay has been noted by some, although this seems to be an isolated issue related to specific setups. Overall, Dead or Alive Ultimate is celebrated for its fast-paced and visually appealing gameplay that never takes itself too seriously. It's recommended for both fans of the franchise and other fighting game enthusiasts looking for a good time. **
