- OUR PLATES ARE PRE-POURED. DON'T WASTE TIME POURING AGAR. The plates are pre-poured, MAC (MacConkey Agar). MacConkey agar is a selective and differential culture medium for bacteria designed to selectively isolate specific organisms.
- THESE MACCONKEY AGAR PLATES ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE USA. They have a thick layer of agar which promotes good growth, have been professionally poured and packaged.
- PLATE DIMENSIONS. The plates are 100mm in diameter x 15mm deep. The agar in the plates has a depth on average of 6-7mm.
- DESCRIPTION: 13.5g Agar, 17.0g Peptone, 3.0g Proteose Peptone, 10.0g Lactose, 31.5g Bile Salts #3, 5.0g Sodium Chloride, Neutral Red 30.0mg, Crystal Violet 1.0mg.
