The top ridge is about 1.4" and the open cutout below is about .4". The saddle is suitable for both mountain and road bikes and is compatible with the Nordictrack S22i Cycle. The saddle may have a breaking-in period, but it is designed to be comfortable upon first use. Overall, customers have had positive experiences with this saddle, with many describing it as the most comfortable bike seat they have ever used. However, some customers found the Galactic saddle to be harder than their previous saddles and less comfortable. One customer noted that the saddle does not have a lot of room to adjust it forward or back on their bike, and they wish the cutout was bigger.
