For the 219 Nichia - is it genuinely 300 lumens at high?
Answer: The 219 Nichia is genuinely 300 lumens at high and 2 mins later it would drop to 60 lumens. -
Question:
How long should it hold a charge?
Answer: When I last charged it in April 2020, it still held the charge past July 2020 even without being used or charged. -
Question:
What’s the difference between this product and the other two 8X versions sold on your page?
Answer: The A8X is the upgraded version of A8 with improved battery performance. It offers the same color options as A8 (amber blue red and uv white red white version), but we only sell the amber blue red version. The brightness and side light can be chosen as per your requirement. (A8 is 350 lumens and A8X is 650 lumens.) -

Does it have LDP (low discharge protection) so that the battery doesn't suffer deep discharge?
Answer: I don't recall, but it does have a low battery warning. -
Question:
Why do they hate to publish the lumens and battery life?
Answer: The RovyVon A8 flashlight has 350 lumens and allows for 500 charging cycles. Here are the runtimes for each setting:n- Moonlight (0.5 lumens): 48 hoursn- Low (10 lumens): 220 minutesn- Med (120 lumens): 65 minutesn- High (350 lumens): 40 minutes (brightness steps down to 50 lumens after 1.5 minutes) -
Question:
For the A6, is the side light using Nichia 219 LED as well?
Answer: The side light on the A6 is not the same LED as the main light. It consists of 2 white LEDs and one red LED, providing a low-level reading light that lasts longer than the main light. -
Question:
What does Nichia mean?
Answer: Nichia is a High CRI emitter, which means colors will look much more accurate compared to the Cree version. It also provides a more neutral warm light compared to the cool white of the Cree version. -
Question:
Is the amber really amber - as in more of an orange color? Why not white? Curious.
Answer: Yes, the color of the amber mode on the side light is more like amber rather than orange. The primary light has warm white light. Amber is chosen because it is more visible than white light during foggy or rainy conditions. -
Question:
Why is this so expensive?
Answer: Relative to other products, this is a high-end, high CRI, 6 LED keychain light that can produce 700 lumens, which was not even possible until now.
