Answer: Yes, it does. It is one piece. The shoulder pads do come off. It's been over a year and there is still nothing wrong with the one we have. It was used 2-3 weekends out of a month. Great buy. -

Answer: It would be big for a 4-year-old. My kid is now 10 and it fits him perfect. He got it when he was 8 and it was roomy but usable. -

Answer: It's the real thing but it's been almost 4 years since we ordered it. Times have changed. The one we got did not come with a number plate.
