I notice some replacement batteries have 3 contact points and some only have 2. Are they both compatible with my D50?
Answer: This particular battery will work just fine in your camera. Some batteries are made to work in many different cameras and some of them have 3 battery contact points. If yours has only two then the 3rd will not have a contact point to mate to making it have no purpose. Just read closely the camera compatibility lists and then go with the compatible battery with the highest mAh number as you will be able to take more pictures with it before recharging. -
