Introducing the NooElec SAWbird iO Barebones - Premium SAW Filter & Cascaded Ultra-Low Noise LNA Module for L-Band Inmarsat AEROSTD-C Applications. With a center frequency of 1542MHz, this self-contained LNA module is specifically designed for capturing L-Band signals, including Inmarsat AERO and STD-C. Featuring a high attenuation outside of the 60MHz bandpass region, this module ensures superior signal quality and a minimum 30dB gain within the bandpass region. The module has been meticulously designed with two ultra-low-noise LNAs sandwiched around a custom-designed, high-performance SAW filter at the frequency of interest. To ensure unhindered performance, each delicate LNA is shielded from external interference by two EMI shields.

The module also features M3 mounting holes, allowing you to securely mount it in your custom enclosure or project with standard hardware. The NooElec SAWbird iO offers three power options, but it is important to note that you should only power it with one option at a time. For bias-tee capable SDRs like the NESDR SMArTee XTR, we recommend a power input of 3V-5V DC through the SMA output port. Alternatively, if you don't have a bias-tee capable SDR, you can utilize the external power options through the microUSB port or the power input header (female 0.1 header) with a recommended external power input of 3.3V-5.5V DC. While the SAWbird iO is equipped with protection circuitry for overvoltage conditions, it is important to note that voltages of up to 12V DC should not be used for long-term usage to prevent any potential damage to the device.

Kindly note that damage resulting from overvoltage conditions would not be covered under the standard 2-year warranty. For optimal performance, we recommend using the NooElec SAWbird iO with the NESDR SMArTee, which contains a bias-tee capable of powering the module with bias power.
