Answer: When I installed on my Jeep Cherokee, I used the factory hardware from my jeep that held the old catalytic converter on. However, your old one is installed will be the same with this on. -

What, if any, are the reasons to go with this cat rather than the Walker/Dynomax that are almost $50 cheaper?
Answer: Not sure if the others are direct fit or universal type. I can say I put this on my Jeep years ago, simple install, still going.
