The tamper is made of all-steel and has an 8"x8" plate with a rubber grip. The tamper is easy to assemble, and the bolts are secured tightly for durability. However, some customers had issues with the rickety performance of the handle, even when secured tightly, which required frequent tightening. Some also felt that the bolts on the exterior of the handle were poorly planned out. The tamper is also too light for heavy dirt work, according to one user.
