The speakers feature an acoustic-suspension design for clear sound and taut, controlled bass response. The 6.5-inch high-compliance, polypropylene, mica-filled woofer and 1-inch PEI dome tweeter are magnetically shielded and water-resistant, making these speakers outdoor-friendly. While some users note that the grills may fall off over time, the sound quality remains efficient and full even in very strong winds and temperature extremes ranging from 100°F to -5°F. Gluing the grill back on using weatherproof silicone sealant may resolve this issue. The speakers are designed for use with a stereo receiver and sound as good as the source used.
