Answer: The rack has a sturdy construction and can hold up to 18 pairs of shoes. -

Can you hang boots on this?
Answer: Only ankle boots from my experience and only soft ones at that. You can only use about 2/3s of the shoe slots as they're too close together to all have shoes on. -
Question:
Does it come with the door mounts to attach to the door frame?
Answer: The shoe rack hooks at either end over the top of the door frame. There are two thickness options so it should fit most doors. There are two screw holes if you wish to secure it to the door itself. The bottom section just rests on the door with two plastic covers to avoid damage. You will, however, be lucky to get 18 pairs of shoes on the rack - unless everyone has small feet. That said, I find the rack a useful and inexpensive way of saving space. -

Is it suitable for UK doors?
Answer: I screwed it to the inside of my wardrobe door, any wooden door would do (not a hollow door). Really great rack. Recommend. -

Can you put the shoes on this rack the other way round?
Answer: No, you can't. I don't find this shoe rack very good!! I have it in my outhouse bit, my son has size 11 feet, so can't fit many shoes on there. Maybe if feet small might be ok. -
Question:
How much clearance is there between the shoe rack and the door?
Answer: It stands out from the door itself 3.1/8 inches / 7.8 centimetres so it should stand proud sufficiently to allow most door handles to fit underneath. Be aware that I found 18 pairs of shoes (men's shoes particularly), a bit optimistic for my door which is only 65.5 cm / 23 1/4 inches wide. Shoes on the end can easily foul up the doorway space, and actually the space between the shoes was often too tight for larger shoes. That said, the rack is an excellent concept as a space saver and luckily we don't have 18 pairs of shoes. -
Question:
Can it be put on the wall?
Answer: The item description says that screwed wall mounting is also possible. However, no alternative brackets are supplied for that purpose. The hooked brackets from which the rack hangs do have holes in them, presumably for screws if wished, but it would appear that wall mounting would involve having to remove the hook parts from the brackets. I have read elsewhere that the metal is perforated for ease of removal, but it certainly isn't on mine, so if I wanted to remove the hooks, I'd have to cut them off with a hacksaw (which, I have to say, I'd consider to be a very irritating thing to have to do). I advise asking Wenko, the manufacturers - there is a contact link at the bottom of the opening page of their website by which a query about a particular product can be submitted. -

What is the depth/length of the over door hooks?
Answer: About three inches but it’s not a hook, just a straight horizontal bar. -

Can I use nails or drills to attach it to the wall if I don't want to hang it on the door?
Answer: Yes, I’m sure you can. Just drill, raw plug, and screws as you would to hang anything on the wall. -
Question:
What is the depth/length of the over door hooks?
Answer: About 2.5 inches inside, then just below that the rack fits into the over door hook. About 1 inch on the outside but that has a rounded shape at the bottom. Not something that pokes you in the eye at all. I had one of these for a long time and then it broke. So I have replaced it. Certainly keeps a lot of shoes tidy and out of the way. Hope that helps.
