Answer: You can connect up to 8 cameras to this NVR at once. -

Does this NVR have built-in AI features?
Answer: No, there are no built-in AI features associated with this NVR. -

Can this really record 8 cameras at 8mp simultaneously?
Answer: It's possible, but very unlikely if you're using any cameras other than Amcrest and their codecs. -

How many hours of storage for 1TB at 1080 resolutions?
Answer: I have 9 cameras recording 24/7 at 720P. I also have a 1TB drive. I get about a week of recordings. -
Question:
The amcrest nv4108-hs is an 8 channel. Why when I mouse over the price does it say 4ch?
Answer: Yes, it is incorrect and I do not know why they ever implied it was 4 channel. I purchased the NV4108-HS and it easily supports 8 channels. -
Question:
Which fan can I install inside this unit?
Answer: I'm using an earlier version of the Amcrest NV4108 with a 4 TB HDD with no fan. There is plenty of internal 'air-space' and vents to circulate air. I've been using this unit for two years without any heat problems. -
Question:
Does this nvr display on the screen just like a 8ch vdr does with camera views like all the cameras at the same time or only four or one??
Answer: Yes, you would have to add in a monitor. -
Question:
Does this device have a dhcp server ie: can it provide ip addresses to the cameras?
Answer: No this is a network device only. The cameras are connected to the network not this device. -
Question:
The sensitivity and threshold settings for motion detection are depicted in manual but missing in the nvr. seller respond please!
Answer: Those settings will populate in the GUI when running Amcrest Cameras. Amcrest doesn't recommend running 3rd party cameras on Amcrest DVR and NVR's due to software incompatibilities which may hinder features.
