Dritz Undergarment Sewing Editorial Review
The Dritz 565-9 Boning, Featherlite, White, 2-Yards is a versatile product that can be used for a variety of sewing projects. It comes in different widths, allowing for customization based on the specific needs of the project. One customer mentioned using this boning for a 1mm vinyl top, recommending the use of a size 10 or 11 needle to stitch it in place. Another customer used it for creating a costume and reported that there were no kinks in the boning after a weekend of wear. The boning is manufactured in China by Prym Consumer USA Inc. and sold by Dritz. It comes with unsewn edges, so it would be necessary to either use boning caps or sew the ends securely to prevent fraying. In terms of flexibility, reviewers had mixed opinions. Some found it flexible enough for curved seams, while others were looking for something sturdier. The plastic boning was challenging to cut in a rounded shape, and the polyester cover tended to fray at each cut. Overall, the Dritz 565-9 Boning is Considered a good value for the price, with customers mentioning fast service and a great product.
