The cover is secured with a thin lip on the cover that joins with the rail, creating a better seal than Velcro. The cover has a pulling cable latch underneath, which can only be opened if the tailgate is unlocked. The cover may need to be opened to allow power tailgate operation. The cover works in a car wash and keeps the truck bed clean. However, some customers faced issues with the unit not being square and too wide at latches that resulted in the crossbar ripping off the tarp.
