The AirVANTAGE 6" Palm-Style, 2nd Generation Industrial Advanced Electric Sander with Central-Vacuum and Low-Profile Pad is highly recommended by users. It has a low profile motor and comfortable grip which gives the user superb comfort and control, that is not matched by most other sanders. It works well, with plenty of power and speed control. It comes with speed control and a long cord, lightweight and quiet motor, is a very versatile sander and has a beautiful vacuum attachment. However, some users were not happy as it is not built for a Construction site and quit early on. Some users also complained about the jumping in speed from one gear (setting) to the next, which could be better. One user faced a problem when he started with a low grit sandpaper and the sander overheated and turned off after 25 minutes of use on aluminum with 40 grit PSA paper. Another user faced a similar problem during the finishing pass with 220 and then 400 grit.
