Answer: Not sure of actual weight, but I feel they are not a heavy boot. Baffin.com was helpful. -

How many grams of thinsulate???
Answer: They don't use thinsulate. It's a synthetic felt lining Next to your skin or sock, then about a half inch of spongy foam product, followed by just under a quarter inch of felt type insulation, followed by about 1/8 in of felt foil lined mesh to reflect the heat back inwards. All combined it's about an inch thick boot liner that's removable. I actually called Baffin and they suggest you order two sizes up from your normal size. The biggest problem I had was my calf is 19 in and it was not a comfortable fit, Even in the men's. But it is a really warm boot and well made. -

Answer: I usually wear an 8, but ordered a 9. I have no issues, and there is room for good socks. -

Answer: They will accommodate a wide calf. Mine are wide and they are very comfy. -

Can I wear these boots snowmobiling for long periods in very cold temperatures?
Answer: I use these boots for snowmobiling all day, and in fairly cold weather. I always wear a good wool sock with them. I haven't had any issues. -
Question:
Will the legs on a snowmobile suit or Carhartts fit over the calves?
Answer: Yes, my snowpants fit over the top. I love these boots also! They are a nice snug, warm fit.
