Buyers have reported that it is quieter and moves more air compared to standard hood vents, however, the 'quiet' setting might not be as "quiet" as advertised. It can be installed in a variety of ways, (wall, ceiling, or roof) however, if intending to vent through the wall, be aware that this blower unit is not weatherproof and requires some modification when installed outside.
