The Spartan Power Inverter AC Transfer Switch is a useful device for people with solar panels or batteries. The switch works well to switch power from batteries to house power, but it doesn't always switch back from house power to batteries. The voltage readings on the ATS are Consistent, but the voltage read low at 0.5 V. It is easy to program and quick to switch. Grounding can be an issue, so the instructions must be followed carefully. The TS4500PLUS model has a 220VAC 50Hz output but doesn't do US 220-240V 60Hz. The ATS is not a charge controller, so a charge controller must be used directly on the battery. The unit will shut down if there is no grid power available, and the batteries fall below the low voltage battery cut-off. Only one input for an inverter is available, and you cannot add another input. The battery plug is not special and only needs to house small cable.
