Gryphon has three separate radios spread across two frequency bands, thereby allowing it to support over 250 wireless devices and three wired LAN devices. The router also has a dedicated 5GHz backhaul channel for wireless mesh, which makes client devices available, and it has ESET's web filtration databases. However, there are a few downsides to the device, which some users have reported, including a few glitches with parental controls as some features fail to function correctly, the device being overly zealous in blocking websites, and it being tricky to get controls precisely how one wants. Furthermore, the device has a learning curve, and the app can be confusing when first used.
