I recommend a Hott portable CD player, not only can you connect headphones, many have Bluetooth which can be connected to an external speaker, some are waterproof, and some are rechargeable. While external speakers can be up to 60 watts, rechargeable, and waterproof for use outdoors. Finally, the sound quality on this 'Philips CD Boom Box' turned out to be poor, particularly at high frequencies, not recommended for House/Rave music. But can be simple to operate for old people.
