Kentrol Hinges 70002 Editorial Review
The Kentrol Hinge Liners for Jeep models have garnered positive feedback from customers, primarily due to their effective design and durable material. Customers appreciate these liners as a significant upgrade from factory bushings, specifically noting the issues related to corroded aluminum bushings that often come with older vehicles. The delrin material used in Kentrol's product stands out for its strength and resistance to wear, enhancing the door's functionality and ease of operation. Installation is generally straightforward, although it may vary depending on the degree of corrosion in the old bushings. Many users reported spending time cleaning out the hinge areas to ensure a proper fit for the new bushings. The included removal tool was praised for making the removal of old bushings easier; however, some users noted that drilling was necessary for particularly stubborn bushings. Despite the challenges, successful installation typically results in significant improvements in how the doors open and close, restoring a "like new" feel. The overall Consensus is that these hinge liners are a worthy investment for Jeep owners looking to improve their vehicle's door performance, particularly in regions prone to harsh climates that lead to corrosion. Customers recommend early replacement of factory bushings before they become problematic, and many are satisfied enough to plan repeat purchases for other vehicles. **
