This transformer can be used in Europe with 220V input to power US appliances of 110V. It is safe to use 24/7 but cannot convert from 50Hz to 60Hz. It is not sufficient for a cooking machine but can be used for hair dryers and other appliances of up to 1800W. It should not be used for a Rainbow vacuum cleaner or a tapis roulant from Italy of 1850W. It can be used for heat-producing coffee machines that use up to 1500W peak but the 5000W model has too high of an inrush current. Buyers should look for a model with soft start instead. The transformer is heavy but works well and is recommended for North American appliances used in the UK, EU, Australia, etc. The received product may be slightly different than the pictures but this doesn't affect its functionality.
