Will horsehair scratch a computer monitor?
Answer: It shouldn't. The reason we use horse hair for our brushes is so it won't scratch paper and it floats over graphite. I would always make sure to shake it good so no debris are in the hair before brushing. Also, there are companies that make really specific tools for cleaning monitors. I have seen static charged wipes and brushes that really remove all particles of dust. I am not sure this is the best tool for the job. -

Answer: The entire length is 14.75 inches. The bristles are 7.5 inches at the base. The brush is 0.50 inches thick. -

How can this brush be a hardwood handle and also be a plastic handle at the same time. is the seller deceptive, incompetent or non-english speaking?
Answer: Is a hardwood handle but is kind of small, I only used it to dust out my drawings. I don't know why is the seller saying is plastic because is wood. -

If you use this brush on graphite drawings, to brush away eraser dust, does it not smudge the graphite and drawing?
Answer: I have never had the the graphite s judge. I started using these years go on art work that we did by hand before computers. They are light and work great. You don't get saliva on your artwork by blowing it or smears by using your hand. I hope this helps. I wouldn't use it with charcoal or loose graphite. -

Is the horse hair authentic??? urgent question!!!
Answer: For those wondering, yes, drafting brushes were always made from coarse hair, usually horse hair. They do, as they get older, begin to lose hair while in use. Once small way to minimize this issue it to apply a small amount of white wood glue along the length of the brush where the hair is inserted into the wooden handle. Do this on both sides. Then let it dry. That will pretty much eliminate any loss due to loose hair, but, as the brush gets older, the hair will begin to break off and that just means its time to purchase a new brush. -
