The color of the seat is lighter than those on older chairs, but it's an excellent replacement for the time being while a broken seat is being recaned. The instructions say that seats can be installed without a power tool, but predrilling is recommended. This wicker seat has a finite lifetime, depending on the weight of the person sitting on them. The replacement cane caning only comes in natural color, so it may be difficult to match the stain on the originals.
