You can use it to make labels using a printer, cut them down to about 2 inches and run them through the Xyron. The Xyron will adhere adhesive to the back of your labels and then you can stick them onto things. However, the stickers are not waterproof. The adhesive will allow you to move things quickly for a few minutes but will set permanently within 15 minutes. You peel the sticker off paper. It doesn't come out just sticky. The cartridges between permanent and repositionable can be switched very easily, even if it is not at the end of a roll.
