The max cutting depth is 2 inches, and the kit is not made in Japan, but in Hungary. The saw is compatible with festool, Makita, and Triton tracks, and any brand lower than these should be avoided. The cordless tool is powered with a Bosch PROFACTOR performance battery. The saw is compatible with the FSN800 31.5" track for ripping 4x8 plywood lengthwise. One user had an issue with the track grip needed adjustment as it was too tight on the rear side out of the box.
