I have a 10g tank and the API CO2 booster liquid booster. Will this be good for monitoring CO2 levels in my tank?
Answer: No, this drop checker is for measuring dissolved CO2 gas in the water. Products like API's CO2 Booster and Seachem's Flourish Excel do not provide CO2 gas. -
Question:
Where in the tank should the drop checker be placed?
Answer: It should be placed opposite to the diffuser. Ensure good suction with the provided suction cup. -
Question:
No color change after 2 days of CO2 injection, any ideas?
Answer: Check if you are injecting enough CO2 and if there is excessive degassing during the photo period. Ensure the fluid in the checker does not get diluted with water. Compare degassed pH to the pH after injection, there should be a difference. -
Question:
Can I use the Fluval indicator liquid for this?
Answer: It is not known for sure, but it is possible to use other fluids in the drop checker. -
Question:
How long does it take to get an accurate reading in the aquarium?
Answer: It may take around an hour or so for the color to change, depending on variables like aquarium size, flow, and CO2 usage. -

Do I need to add water or just the provided solution?
Answer: Just add the liquid provided, it is ready to use as is. -
